My ceramics have slowly evolved over the years. I now concentrate on producing
limited additions which share a common design concept. I am currently working
on a range of double-walled bowl forms. The idea of positive and negative space
interests me; the relationship between the inner and outer form is always
challenging. Inspiration for the work largely derives from observing the
landscape and natural forms. All of the work is hand built using coiling and press
moulding techniques in both earthenware and stoneware clays. I have developed
my own glazes which produce richly coloured and textured surfaces. I have
exhibited widely throughout the UK and abroad and have work in both private
and public collections.
